Little Cora is an 8 week old Chihuahua and is as cute as she can be, but she has been diagnosed with a significant heart murmur, consistent with a congenital condition called PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosis).

This condition requires life-saving surgery, and she will need to have it soon, as there is a risk of heart failure or permanent damage. The prognosis for a full recovery and normal life is excellent with the surgery; without it, 60% of dogs will die within one year, and 80% will die within two years.
