Fixing Felines of Islip, NY

Fixing Felines of Islip Township (FFoIT) is a 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt public charity whose mission is to help end the overpopulation of homeless, abandoned, and unwanted feral and stray cats and kittens within Long Island, NY. In addition, FFoIT is dedicated to promoting feline health and compassionate caregiving amongst the feline population by offering assistance in sterilization, vaccinations (including but not limited to rabies and other feline viruses), flea/tick/deworming treatments, and mandatory identification ear tipping to treated felines.

The benefits of this program will include the reduction of, but are not limited to:

a) feline-transmitted disease that can spread to the companion pet population.

b) feline morbidity and mortality amongst the stray population caused by: disease, malnutrition, trauma from fighting and environmental elements.

c) urine spraying and loitering of common human-feline grounds.

d) resources needed to maintain the cat population in local animal shelters. 

MOBILE TRANSPORT SERVICES MAY BE AVAILABLE FOR A SMALL FEE.
