*Update : 21 February 2015- Gofundme and their partners WePay and Stripe deduct fees from each transaction from Australia (6.75%+0.30c) and International (7.9%+0.30c). If we exceed the original 10k (upped to 11k), I will actually receive
a realistic final balance. I feel stupid for not realising earlier.
Behold the video. If you can't decipher my unique voice, here's a summary.
I need a new wheelchair. The 14 years with "Chaos", my Rollerchair Navigator, must end. My Occupational Therapist has told me that I need to raise $16,761.00 on top of the Government contribution of around $8,000. This figure absolutely astounds me!
This Permobil is the chair that I need! It's magical! It can drive over all kinds of terrain (not stairs), tilt, recline right back to lying position, raise up about 5 feet, has a power leg rest and goes at a jogger's pace by default. Check it out! I think I want it in "Purple Rain".

Whilst I am making a determined effort to raise funds selling The Big Issue magazine for up to eight hours a day, six days a week... I will be returning to full time study in March. I may only be able to sell on one day then. I have done a great job, but I am aware that it is a tiny amount. My OT will seek funding through charity and my Individual Support Package, but the success of applications is as yet undetermined. Charities are not known to be overly generous in donations as their resources are stretched as it is.
Local friends have chipped in as well (thanks SO much) but this campaign is up because I am still struggling to see the decent gain in funds that is needed. The target is actually a bit lower than what's needed and everything that is donated WILL make a massive difference.
Thanks for your help, I can't wait to move and socialise freely again.
