Blue's ACL Surgery

Hello All,

My name is Michael McGrath. I am the owner of MJObedience in Bourne, Ma. Many of you know my little superstar Blue. He has helped thousands of reactive dogs here on Cape Cod learn to cope and manage a happy, healthy life. Over the past couple of months, he has been limping. We of course, had it checked out ASAP by our Vet who had orignally diagnosed an arthritic knee with low fluid. We had been taking it very easy with hydro therapy to help his leg. We had made some progess, with him only limping after getting up from laying on his leg. Unfortunately Wednesday the 13th of July he was playing with a tennis ball having a blast at the school when he came up on 3 legs. Since then he has no use of his rear right leg and is quite unstable standing. We are keeping him on complete bed rest. The only time he is on all 4 paws is during potty time (Which Dad carries him to.) He truly is an amzing dog as his training is shining right now. He a rockstar in the crate and handles his down time like a champion! The long and short of this is as follows. A month a a half ago we at MJO hit our summer lull as all K9 training facilities do each year. Things were tight so i actually had taken out a small loan just to stay afloat without too much stress. Well that loan served its purpose. We got through and stayed afloat just fine. However we are still in the process of paying back this loan, which means taking out a loan for Blue's surgery is not possible. As a strong man with very engrained values, this is not easy for me to ask for help. However when it comes to my boy I will swallow my pride and do whatever it takes to get him better. The outpour of love and support we have been shown blows us away. This surgery requires a specialy surgeon as well as extensive rehab for recovery. These come with a hefty price tag and we need help.
