Willie’s Recovery

First I would like to thank God for all of his blessings and for how far my dad has come today.

Hello everyone, my name is Danielle, and on Friday, July 21st, I got a call from my aunt that my dad was in an accident. She did not know how bad it was when she called me, but I was not able to go see him because he was in ICU. When I went the next day, I realized how bad it was.

While at work, as he was closing, a loose metal rod fell from the ceiling, hit him on top of his head, and knock him out causing him to fall onto another bar that busted his head open. When he arrived at the hospital, he was unable to move for the blows and fall shocked his nerves. He could not walk or move his upper extremities. For the past two weeks he has been in Scott and White doing his best to regain everything and to get stronger, but it is taking some time and will continue to take some time. Once he leaves the hospital, he will have to go and stay at a rehabilitation facility until he is ok to return home, but no one but God knows how long that will take. While he is in there, bills are piling up, because we all know, bills do not wait. His brothers, sisters, and children are doing their best to help with everything and keep his spirits up, but we still need that extra help because he still has a long road ahead of him.

If you have the means and the will to help, please do and if you don’t have the means, give him a call or go visit him, he would definitely love that.
