My Conservatory Choir Tour of Italy
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My life's dream has always been to sing and see the world. At the top of my list was to travel to Italy; my family heritage inspired me to visit the birthplace of my great-grandfather. I am a freshman at the Conservatory at Shenandoah University, and this semester, I was extended an opportunity to perform with the Shenandoah Conservatory Choir's Tour of Italy! I am incredibly excited and grateful for this opportunity- this is an experience that will benefit me musically and culturally.
My passion for music began at a young age and was instilled in me by both of my parents, in particular my father who was a drummer for most of his life and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis several years before I was born. Sadly, the progression of his disease no longer allows him to play. Both of my parents want to see me do what I love, and my father now continues his dream through my music.
As a freshman, it is rare to get an opportunity to go abroad, and financially, I was not prepared for this gift to fall in my lap. Both my family and I are working hard to fund the trip and I would be grateful for any kind of donation. Getting to see where the basis of classical music began will be an invaluable life experience and I thank you so much for your support!
I have attached a snippet from You Tube of my performance of "Skyfall" by Adele. I'm still honing my craft and hope this will be just the beginning of my musical career. Thanks again!
