2023 Jungle Clean Up

Playa Del Rey's 44th annual JUNGLE CLEAN UP is set for Saturday, September 30, 2023.

We strive to bring our community together, meet our new neighbors, and scour our alleys, walkways, streets, properties and of course the beach.

YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED! This event is funded by the community and hosted by non-profit Friends of the Jungle (AKA FOTJ).

This intense neighborhood clean up takes a village to bring to life! Gratefully, our City will provide the equipment, technology, expertise and infrastructure: including 5 giant street dumpsters, a Street Sweeper, several city staff members, shovels, brooms, rakes, shears and trash bags. DOT will install temporary Tow Away signs.

FOTJ will organize this event and host lunch for all participants. Each and everyone who signs in to participate will receive a free t-shirt customized by our local artist Jim Chelius. Come early while supply lasts.

Join our afternoon lunch & refreshments for all and a street gathering with live music to unite our neighbors and celebrate our efforts.

A portion of the donations will be applied to all infrastructure costs. These costs enable us to advocate to the City, County & State on issues that impact our community. We are a nonprofit organization
