Tim Brown's Quest for New Lungs
Donation protected
In March of this year, 2014, Tim began having some shortness of breath. After months of doctor's appointments, tests and eventually a referral to Standford hospital he was diagnosed with an auto-immune response that has attacked his lungs. Although no specific name has been given to it, they say its "highly likely" to be Rheumatoid Arthritis. The response causes inflammation in the deepest parts of the lungs. The constant state of inflammation causes scar tissue & scar tissue cannot transfer air, and therefore lung function is lost and cannot be reversed. Since March his condition has deteriorated quickly, significant lung function has been lost and he is now in need of a Lung Transplant. Currently he is in the evaluation process, and when the transplant will occur is not known. However when it does happen we will have to live in Stanford for 3months. Funds raised by your generosity will be used to pay for housing, medical treatment/surgery as well as prescriptions.
