How Many Family Caregivers Have We Helped Today?
The one question that serves as the operational benchmark for the Caregiver Coalition Fund of America is "How many family caregivers have we helped today?” It is this one question that drives what we do and serves as the basis for the organization’s constant persistence to find a better way to serve family caregivers in the United States and throughout the World.
The Caregiver Coalition Fund of America (i.e., CareCFA) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual and socioeconomic wellbeing of caregivers. CareCFA recognizes that family caregiving is a call to help a loved one, a friend, a neighbor, a community in need. Answering the call and becoming a nonpaid caregiver requires time, attention, and selfless devotion to another person. Most caregivers begin their journey of caregiving without any prior knowledge or understanding of what is being called upon them to do; other than knowing they answered a call to help.
Family Caregivers Are the Unspoken Heroes of Our Time
It is not the mission of CareCFA to give family caregivers back time; nor do we believe that we can single handedly help millions of caregivers. We do believe, however, that we can evoke change and build Community Care Partnerships that empower caregivers and make a positive difference in their lives and those entrusted in their care.
Reaching Out To Help Family Caregivers
In the United States there are an estimated 69 million family caregivers. Throughout the World there are hundreds of millions family caregivers. Family caregivers come from every segment of society – single mothers and fathers caring for their children, family members caring for their aged parents and grandparents, grandparents caring for their grandchildren, spouses caring for their veteran spouses, and children caring for their siblings.
It is the goal of the Caregiver Coalition Fund of America to reach out and care for family caregivers. We at CareCFA hold ourselves to sustaining operational excellence in all that we do and to consistently ask ourselves the one question that truly matters – “How Many Family Caregivers Have We Helped Today?”
We Need Your Support
The Caregiver Coalition Fund of America cannot help alone the millions of family caregivers that need assistance. We need your help. It is for this reason that CareCFA is launching a year-long $1.25 million campaign to help the 69 million family caregivers in the United States and the millions more that reside in countries throughout the World. Through your donations we can develop more programs, improve existing programs and expand our services to help all family caregivers whether they reside in the United States or in other countries throughout the World. In this regard, CareCFA is already working with international nonprofit organizations to assist family caregivers in Ukraine; including caregivers of wounded warriors and orphaned children who are caring for their siblings.
Can you take a moment and make a donation to help our efforts? No amount is too small and together we can help family caregivers – the unspoken Heroes of our time!!
Thank you,
Board of Directors
