Christian call to Donate to help Jennifer

Hi

My name is Jennifer and I am reaching out to the body of Christ for help.

I have spent the last few decades helping the poorest of the poor in the US, Haiti, Egypt and East Africa as an Executive Director of international ministries. I am a also a pastoral counselor who has helped counsel grieving Christians and taught in childrens and teen ministry. In addition, as a single mom, I was breeding golden retreivers to help make ends meet for our family.

Last year I invited a very sick person into my family's life--in order to help them. Through that decision ,and things unknown to me, I ended up losing everything: my home, my jobs, my health, my personal belongings, my dogs, my car, many family and friends who asked, "How could a real Christian lose so much so fast and not be at fault?". I do feel that I should have been more discerning. But other friends have reminded me that Job lost everything and he didn't do anything to "deserve" it. In fact, many Christians in the Bible were imprisoned and homeless. However, I didn't see the danger of trying to help this person and from bringing them into our lives it destroyed it. I spent the entire last year sick and in and out of the hospital. Recently, I was just released from the hospital with a free cab ride offer to a homeless shelter.

Never in a million years did I think at 55 I would be penniless or homeless. I have two masters degrees and participated in an international woman of courage award given to our ministry by the First Lady of the United States. I am a published writer and have a sucessful past. But none of that matters when Satan attacks. I believe myself (in ministry) and my two young adult kids (looking to work in youth pastoring and Biblical studies) were a target for the enemy. I believe it is my fault for not discerning this threat and I am heart broken that my family lost everything, that I cannot help my two growing children and that I myself am homeless and not even sure where to start. In addition, I am still not 100 percent well which makes it difficult.

It's embarrassing to create a fundaiser for yourself. But, I pray that my story may touch your heart. I am in great need of funds for : a reliable vehicle, a place to live, furnishings and on-going infusions in the future. Please pray and ask The Lord if He is putting it on your heart to help me and my family. I would be forever grateful.
