Help Us To Escape From Gaza

"Hello, I am Heba Al Sharif, pleading with all humility for your generosity to help my relatives escape and get out of the devastating genocide in Gaza. And here is their story...

Hello world, we are the Kehail family consisting of 13 individuals. We write to you our story with heavy hearts as we endure Israeli bombardment in the southernmost area on the Rafah beach. We live in a nylon tent threatened by danger, suffering from diseases, freezing in the cold, and struggling with mud when it rains. We have witnessed relentless bombardment for days, each strike getting closer, making us believe that we might die with the next one. Yet, we can't believe we survived and managed to escape. After being displaced 7 times, we found no place to live other than this tent, considering it our home. The shock we experienced, especially the children, is beyond measure, particularly with the pandemic conditions and environmental pollution. We struggle to secure clean water, food, and the most basic necessities. We have been without electricity, internet, and communication for over 7 months!

The war ignited by the Israeli army on Gaza destroyed and stole all our dreams, homes, businesses, and futures along with our possessions and cherished memories, leaving us only with the clothes on our backs. Our father had one of the largest real estate investment offices, completely destroyed by Israeli airstrikes, along with all the properties and towers he built over the years. Our elder brother Omar lost his home, his shops, and his merchandise that he worked on for years. He has a child not older than two years old, suffering from the lack of sanitary pads, clean water, and milk due to the pandemic and pollution. As for Abeer and Rana, despite the difficulties and hardships in earning a living in Gaza City, they persevered in opening their own project, a beauty and care center with a special section for documenting and photographing beautiful moments for weddings and parties, but sadly, it was completely destroyed. As for Andaleeb, she worked hard and became a highly skilled programmer, and now she lost all her professional connections and all her computer equipment, internet, and electricity due to the war. As for the student Farah, her educational future and dream were halted as she couldn't continue her studies in dental school due to the university being targeted completely and the lack of security. Now, the Kehail family is left with no income to provide for their essential needs.

The cost of leaving Gaza to enter Egypt via the Rafah crossing is high, as we need to pay $7,000 Canadian dollars per person for my direct family of 13. Your help means a lot as we strive to rebuild and envision better days ahead. Every donation, big or small, helps us start repairing our shattered dreams.
