Gillian's Road to Recovery - Medical and Travel

Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,

Our beloved Gillian Coutts has shown unwavering resilience in the face of adversity. Just over a year ago, Gill suffered a major, unexpected stroke, which significantly impacted her life. During 8 months in hospital and more at home, she has courageously battled mobility and speech challenges, and other difficulties from her stroke.

Gill, always a source of joy and strength, has stayed dedicated to her recovery. She now has an opportunity to take a significant step forward on her journey. Gill hopes to travel to a ground-breaking rehab organisation in Europe this December. This rehab centre uses innovative techniques, including neuroplasticity and disruptive technologies, coupled with a holistic approach to emotional care, to help stroke survivors reclaim their lives.

However, the costs of this trip, including the treatment, travel expenses, and provision for accompanying carers, are substantial. Gill is prepared to embark on this transformative journey in December, but needs our support to make it a reality. We are thrilled to share that Potential Project, where Gill has shown incredible dedication over the years, has made a generous donation to her cause, reducing the funds needed to $15,000 Australian dollars. This has brought us even closer to making Gill's dream journey in December a reality.
