Humanitarian Aid For Ukraine

Since Russia's most recent attacks began on 2/24/22, I have raised and sent more than **$100,000** in cash donations and humanitarian aid to various trusted groups and colleagues in Ukraine. The donations have helped purchase food, medicine/medical supplies, warm clothing, and other essentials for thousands of Ukrainians. In addition to those supplies, I was able to pay for a life-saving surgery for a 2-week-old orphan, a portion of a life-saving surgery for an abandoned 3-week-old in a warzone, and evacuation costs for a family with a small child. Through the RPCV Alliance for Ukraine, I was awarded a mini-grant, which was used to create a community center for 500+ internally displaced refugees in the village where I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 2010-2012. In March 2023, I was invited to join the board of Kansas City's largest Ukrainian non-profit Stand With Ukraine KC.

I recently traveled to Ukraine where I delivered medical supplies purchased in the US (because they’re currently unavailable in Europe) and purchased and delivered an additional $15K+ in humanitarian aid. During that trip, I also worked on several small projects with Ukrainian colleagues, which will benefit internally displaced refugees, a NICU serving several orphaned infants, an orphanage, and a home for women and girls with developmental and physical disabilities.

I know Americans have been very generous with donations to Ukraine already, so I am grateful for any amount of support (please note that these funds will NOT go toward my personal expenses - i.e. flight, food, etc.). Just as I did last year, I will share updates on donations received and provide pictures of the items once it's safe to do so.
