Flag Recovery Eagle Project for Jason Kayne

Hello there! My name is Jason Kayne, and I am currently a Life Scout in Troop 134 in Union Beach, NJ. I have been working on an Eagle project that will benefit our community and our Veterans, while at the same time honorably completing my scouting journey.

My project calls on a vital part of American history: Flag Retirement. In Union Beach, our Legion’s flag recovery box is rusty and out of shape, so it’s difficult for people to notice that it is a flag recovery box. That’s how my project began, as I intend to, with the help of my troop, remove and replace this flag box with a new and improved version that will last for at least 30+ years. However, for me to execute this project, I need funding to help procure the flag recovery box and its installation. The GoFundMe’s money will all go straight towards the flag box, and any remaining funds will go to the American Legion in Union Beach.
