It’s Not All About You

It really isn’t. However difficult you think life is, spare a thought for those who, through no fault of their own, fight poverty, hunger, injustice and oppression every day of their lives. The daily struggle they face to feed, clothe, find shelter, seek access to basic medical care for themselves and their families are challenges you and I will never face. Thank God it’s them instead of you. Right?

Wrong! No human should lead such an existence. Their struggle, their dignity, their nightmare is all our collective responsibility. Their humanity is no less than ours. Their desire for a better life is as important as ours. Their hopes and dreams are equally as valuable as ours. The only difference is ... us.

We are the haves and they are the have nots. However little we have, they have nothing. Whatever hardship we face, they face mountains. We may aspire for bigger, better and more, they aspire to survive.

With your help, you can make a difference to the have nots.

Flame2Fame is a charity that produces accessories for musical instruments. It’s products are produced from re-used and discarded materials to minimise the effect on the environment. They are produced by people with physical or mental disabilities to give self worth and the sense of achievement. They are all paid true market value and not discounted because of their disabilities. The products are sold through a number of distributors and on-line through Flame2Fame’s own website. All profits are distributed to national and international charities that exist to serve the underprivileged and the forgotten.

This is our small contribution toward the have nots. Your contribution, however much, will be enormous in changing the lives of the downtrodden. Your contribution will give hope to those who have lost hope.

And in the words of Stephen King — “Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.”


Es geht nicht nur um dich!

Das tut es wirklich nicht! So schwierig das Leben auch sein mag, schenke doch einen Gedanken an diejenigen, die jeden Tag ihres Lebens ohne eigenes Verschulden gegen Armut, Hunger, Ungerechtigkeit und Unterdrückung kämpfen.

Der ständige Druck, unter dem sie leben müssen (oder: unter dem sie leiden), um ihre Familien und sich selbst zu ernähren, zu kleiden, um Schutz zu finden, um Zugang zu medizinischer Grundversorgung zu bekommen, ist eine Herausforderung, die Du und ich nicht kennen. Zum Glück sie und nicht du. Oder?

Nein! Kein Mensch sollte so leben müssen. Ihr Kampf, ihre Würde, ihr Albtraum sind unsere kollektive Verantwortung. Ihr Menschsein (Menschenleben) ist nicht weniger wert als unseres. Ihr Wunsch nach einem besseren Leben für sich und Ihre Familien ist genauso wichtig wie unser. Ihre Hoffnungen und Träume sind genauso wertvoll wie deine und meine. Der einzige Unterschied sind ... wir.

Wir sind die Habenden und sie sind die Besitzlosen. Egal wie wenig wir haben, sie haben noch weniger. Welchen Schwierigkeiten wir auch gegenüberstehen, sie sind hilflos. Wir streben vielleicht nach mehr, besser und größer, sie aber streben lediglich nach Überleben. 

Mit Deiner Unterstützung kannst Du einen Unterschied machen.

Flame2Fame ist ein soziales Up-Cycling Projekt und Anbieter von Ausrüstung und Zubehör für die Musikindustrie. Unsere Produkte werden aus gebrauchten und weggeworfenen Materialien recycelt, von Menschen mit körperlichen oder geistigen Beeinträchtigungen hergestellt und an unsere Kunden verkauft. Gewinne werden an nationale und internationale Organisationen gespendet um den Benachteiligten und Vergessenen zu helfen.

Dies ist unser kleiner Beitrag für die Besitzlosen. Dein Beitrag wird jedoch einen enormen Effekt haben, das Leben der Unterdrückten zu verändern. Dein Beitrag wird denjenigen Hoffnung geben, die die Hoffnung verloren haben.

Und mit den Worten von Stephen King: "Denke daran, Hoffnung ist eine gute Sache, vielleicht sogar die Beste. Und gute Dinge können nicht sterben.”
