Flash flood relief and doggie daycare

Hello neighbors. As many other members of the community Rose and I lost everything in the flash floods. Any help to get Rosie and I back on our feet we will try to pay it forward.

I received a text message at work saying we had to break your window and your dog is safe. My neighbors spotted Rose floating on my mattress and desperately clawing at the window during a flash flood event yesterday. It was a team effort but they were able to break the window and Rose was saved!

Today we found out from the property owner that the power will be out for the forseable future and we can’t go home for at least three months. It seems like most people are making plans to move. Rosie and I have nowhere to go and I need to go to work. The only thing worse than homeless is homeless and jobless.

I was able to survey the damage and everything has been destroyed. Donations will go towards replacing necessities like supplies for Rose, toiletries, basic clothing, replacement contact lenses or glasses, and finding a new apartment somehow.

A neighbor on the Nextdoor App has volunteered to let Rose at her house while I work for the next few weeks!! We are so grateful to everyone who has been there for us during this shocking event and thank you so much to anyone who donates! Rose and I are very easy going and introverted and it’s been hard asking for help but every single act of kindness and any donation of any amount is appreciated more than I can find the words to say.
