Fleeing an abusive situation, homelessness

My name is Lucy Casey. On Twitter you know me as Syntheticus Canadiensis or Syntheticus Humanitus.

I have lived with my sister and a roommate for 1.5 years and in that time I had assumed stability. Unfortunately that Roommate has turned into an abuser who used her financial power over us as a tool of manipulation.

She made sexual jokes towards my sister and I and made us feel uncomfortable. When we told her to stop and not to do that, shed break down and blame her mental illness.

I am not a doctor, nor a psychiatrist, nor a therapist. I cannot speak for whether she was serious or not, but I could speak to the fact she used it to her benefit.

She's evicting us on extremely short notice, we have less than 30 days to pack up our belongings and get out. We have a place to stay for a few months in Kelowna with our grandfather, but we need money to pay for plane tickets and movers. This is only a temporary situation, we do not have long term residence available to us.

I have purchased a self storage rental for $1050 for a 3 month period and will need movers to move our furniture and belongings to this self storage.

My sister uses her computer for work so we need to buy bags to bring on the plan that can carry 2 computer towers and 2, 27 inch computer monitors.

Our finances are extremely limited as my sister and I do not currently have employment.

We wish to raise $1000 to cover moving costs and flight costs.

Plane tickets will cost us around $300 each not including suit cases and carry ons.

The remaining $400 will go to hire movers to move our belongings we can't bring with us to the self storage.

Thanks for everything you can provide, we are in a desperate situation and the clock is ticking.

Edit: Updated the goal to $3500 to keep this active, anything raised above $1000 will go into a housing fund.

$2500 housing fund, $1000 for a damage deposit, $1500 for rent. This probably won't pay for a month of rent, but it will help us towards paying for a month of rent.

Update: we may have found an apartment/suite in the vancouver area we'd move into on the 1st of march, need around $1000 to cover extra expenses to get back home.
