Fleigle's to World Championships

We are the team behind the mighty Julia Fixsen. We work very hard to provide outstanding pole vault training for Minnesota and the surrounding area. Over the course of the last year we have been strategically preparing Julia for the Junior National meet in hopes of qualifying her for the IAAF Under 20 World Championships in Tampere, Finland. We knew that she was capable of achieving this but also knew it would be very challenging. After months of training and strategizing we arrived at the national meet where Julia jumped a personal best mark of 13'11- 1/4". She placed 2nd and earned a spot on team USA . She will compete in the world championships July 10th-15th. Sadly USATF does not pay for anything other than Julia personally. This means that all of Julia's coaches and family must pay out of pocket in order to travel with her and coach her over seas.

Julia is an outstanding athlete and an even more acceptional person. She holds the MN State Record (13'9-1/4") as well as the MN all-time best mark (13'11-1/4"). She is the third highest high school vaulter in the country this year and is only 17 years old. Julia is also one of the most caring individuals you will meet. She cares for her competitors and knows their importance not only in her success but also in falling short. She dedicates hours of her time serving others in her community and on mission trips to help the less fortunate. Above all else Julia works very hard to give the glory back to her heavenly father. She is a young leader that we want to support to the best of our ability. 

Julia is a minor so having her family with on this trip is important. There is no doubt she will find success but in the pole vault success is heavily weighted on the decisions made by the coaches over the course of the competition. Julia needs the support of her team to take on the world!
