Fleming Family

On December 13, 2017 the Fleming family suffered the unexpected death of a loving husband and father. As if losing the sole provider, love of your life, and a daddy with 7 kids - 4 of those kids still at home - wasn't devastating enough - the entire house and all their belongings were destroyed in the house fire.
We are 12 short days away from Christmas, and while most of us will enjoy spending time with family, exchanging gifts, and living in the laughter and joy of the season, this family will be struggling to catch their breath, trying to make sense of the devastation, and wondering where to start picking up the pieces.
I'm sure most of you are like me, you've seen a million gofundme pages, they're all heartbreaking...but you scroll past them because they dont affect you personally. I get it....but please, I'm begging you, from the bottom of my broken heart, take a second to put yourself in their shoes. Imagine how devastating it would be for you to lose the person most important to you, for you to be left with absolutely nothing, no home, no food, no clothes.... While most of us are focused on what we are getting for Christmas, this family is struggling to figure out where to go and a newly widowed mother is trying to scrape up food to fill her children's tummies and wondering where she can find clothes for them to wear tomorrow.
Prayer is the most powerful force on earth, please take a minute to pray for Amber and her 4 kids who lost everything. Pray for the 7 children who now have to navigate life without their beloved dad. Pray for comfort to surround this family in their time of unimaginable pain, for guidance and wisdom as Amber is left with the task of raising these kids on her own, for provision and favor as they try to figure out where they will live and how she will provide for these precious little people. And don't forget to thank God for how blessed you are, because I'm certain most of us will never have to face this kind of devastation. I pray that if you are ever faced with the challenge that the Fleming Family is - that the hearts of those who hear your story will be compassionate towards you in your time of need.
For those with the compassion and willingness to help ease the financial burden this family faces, no amount is too small to make a difference. Even a small Walmart gift card will help tremendously. Every single dollar raised will go straight to Amber Fleming to help her pick up the pieces, provide for her family, and help pay for the funeral service.

***UPDATE 12/17***
Thanks to several generous donations as well as toys for tots, the family has received clothing for all 4 kids, and toys for Christmas. Amber still needs clothes (Large shirt, 11 pants,7 shoes.) At this point, the family members are split up and bouncing around between friends and family to keep a roof over their heads. My ultimate goal is to provide this family with a place to call home, and we need your help to do that. Please continue to give towards that goal ❤️ Our family is forever grateful for the generosity and love shown towards the Fleming Family in our most desperate time.
