Flipping the Script: Rockingham’s New Home of Gymnastics

What do you get when a school decides they can no longer run their competitive gymnastics program because it is too expensive? A community of kids and coaches left doing cartwheels in the dark. But hopefully not for long.

Hi we are Leo Kimble and Melissa Ellis, two individuals who are incredibly passionate about gymnastics with more than 40 years combined experience between us. Faced with a large challenge, we couldn't just quit on our team, our community or our dream. When South Coast Baptist College decided to close their competitive gymnastics program, we could’ve given up, packed up and moved on but instead, with SCBC's help we are looking to bounce back with something bigger, better and even stronger than before.

We’ve found the perfect space to rise from the ashes, but there’s a small catch. It’s going to cost us a vault-load of money:

Annual rent: $160,000

Renovations: Let’s just say our floor routine needs a floor… and it’s not going to be cheap.

We need YOU to help us secure a suitable training space to keep gymnastics and trampolining alive in Rockingham.
