FLOOD CRISIS: The Johnson Health Center

My name is Meadow Ingraldi, I’m from Vermont and on July 10th The Johnson Health Center flooded. My parents, Caroline and Geoffrey Butler dedicated all their energy and time to building the Johnson Health Center, which only opened in this location this last winter. They have made a place where people in our community can receive quality healthcare. They serve everyone, especially vulnerable populations and those with Medicaid, and they do it with dedication and compassion. From the very beginning, they poured their heart and souls into this project. They made sure that every detail was perfect and that The Health Center would truly make a difference in people's lives, especially those who were already lacking healthcare in rural Vermont and individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The impact The Health Center has already had on our community has been huge. It’s been a breath of fresh air for the college students at NVU who don’t have any healthcare services while attending, as well as the Johnson community which is severely underserved. Unfortunately, severe flooding has left the Johnson Health Center in need of some serious repairs. It's devastating to see all their hard work flooded and out of operation, but my parents are determined to rebuild and continue providing essential medical services to those in need. This is where the generosity of our community comes in. Donations from individuals and businesses can play a critical role in helping my mom and dad rebuild The Johnson Health Center. Funds will be used to repair and reconstruct the damaged areas, purchase new medical equipment, and ensure that the center is up and running as soon as possible. Community support not only assists in physical rebuilding but also provides emotional encouragement and strength to my parents. Knowing that their efforts are valued and supported by those around them will be a powerful motivator.
