Flood Damage fundraiser for Geoff & Linda Richman

Dear friends,

 

We have created this campaign to help our friends, Geoff and Linda Richman, who have been greatly affected by the floods in Queensland this past week. It was hard to convince them to accept help because they know that many people are suffering in Queensland and worldwide. We explained that this is not a handout but rather a hand-up to enable them to get back to work and have some sense of normalcy after the trauma of losing so much. We want to help them to get through the sleepless nights and the stress of dealing with the aftermath of the flood. We are appealing to you for your help.

 

We went to school with Geoff; our friends are scattered worldwide, and this is the only way that we can lend practical support. It is our way of letting them know that they are not alone in this challenging situation; it’s an opportunity to help and show our love.

 

Please donate if you can. All donations will go directly to Geoff and Linda. The funds will help them purchase another reliable vehicle (car insurance only covers market value consequently, and the payout on both cars will probably only be sufficient to replace one reliable vehicle, not two). Unfortunately, it is unlikely that the Pilates machines that comprise Linda’s business, the primary family income, will be covered by their insurance. Thankfully while insurance is in place, these organizations are predictably fastidious, under voluminous pressure, and understandably can’t cover the loss of earnings. Geoff cannot go back to work until he gets a new vehicle, and that process is anticipated to be arduous.

 

Let’s get our friends back to where they were; thriving and happy. Please leave a message with your donation to let them know how much they are loved and cherished. With all the suffering in the world, one often feels helpless about what we can do. However, a helping hand to an old friend would make a big difference.

 

They have found themselves in a situation where none of us expect to see ourselves. Let’s do this!!
