Flood Relief for Ashaninka Communities in Peru!
Donation protected
Dear Supporters,
We're reaching out to you today with an urgent appeal for the Indigenous Asháninka and other local communities of the Ene River. Just over the weekend, unprecedented rains caused the river to burst its banks, leaving hundreds of families in dire need of assistance.

The devastation is profound. More than 5,000 hectares have been flooded, impacting around 300 families. These families have lost everything they've worked tirelessly to build - their homes, their land and their livelihoods.

The floods have ravaged the crops these families rely on for financial support and sustenance. Our wild-crafted cacao, which is a prime source of income for the Asháninka people for decades, has now been destroyed.

The trees, once thriving, will soon begin to rot, and the fruit will spoil. Yucca and banana crops, essential staples for these communities, have suffered a similar fate.
Despite the resilience of the Asháninka people, they find themselves without the most basic necessities of life - water, food, and blankets. While some relief efforts are underway, coordinated by our partners CARE and the military, the scale of the devastation demands immediate and sustained action.

Your support can make a world of difference:
$15 provides water for one family
$30 provides food for one family
$60 provides clothing for one family
$150 will buy mattresses and blankets for one family
$250 covers all of the above for one family
$500 extends support to two families
$1000 ensures all the above for four families
For those willing and able to contribute more substantially, your generosity could help rebuild entire communities:
$5,000 can aid in the infrastructure of one community
$10,000 can extend this support to two communities
$20,000 can help three communities rebuild
$30,000 can assist four communities
$50,000 can make a transformative impact on five communities

Every dollar counts. Your generosity can provide immediate relief and support long-term recovery efforts. Together, we can help the Asháninka people reclaim their "Kemetsa Asaika" - the good life they deserve.
Thank you for standing in solidarity with these communities during this challenging time.
Sincerely,
Dan Koch, Founder, Sacred Taste Wild-Crafted Cacao
