URGENT FLOOD RELIEF NEEDED FOR MUTUM VILLAGE!
Our Yawanawa relatives are currently experiencing the largest flood since 2014 of their ancestral Gregório River which has overflowed and flooded the Yawanawa villages on its banks. The river has not yet receded and already many boats have been lost, and many homes and crops damaged. This is one of many examples of the ongoing climate crisis in frontline Indigenous communities and it is crucial that we show up in solidarity with our family in this critical time. Our relatives have poured so much into others, sharing their medicine, ceremonies and lifeways to support the healing and transformation of so many globally and this is a time that they must be poured into and supported. Please donate share, boost and mobilize in you network in whatever ways you can to support in alleviating the impact of the floods

The aerial images are from Aldeia Mutum, many families have received damage to their homes, lost their property, plantations, and vital systems that help the community run. Any help is welcome at this time of collective difficulty. These floods are directly connected to extraction and invasion from corporations into traditional territories.

The funds collected will directly support multiple families.
They will cover replacing important equipment and preparing the community if more floods come in the following days, weeks, or months
Let us support!
Help us reach our goal! share this message with your network of contacts to reach as many people as possible... Together we are strong and we can collaborate within our conditions.
