Flood Relief for Vermont Bicycle Shop

Updated fundraising information!: On July 10th, Vermont experienced historic flooding that devastated communities statewide. Barre was particularly hard hit, and our beloved Vermont Bicycle Shop suffered significant damage and loss. On September 22, ultra endurance cyclist Miron Golfman will race the 650-mile Vermont Super 8 bikepacking route. Miron, with the support of Ibex wool, is returning to his home state and riding to raise funds in support of the Vermont Bicycle Shop’s recovery.

This is a fundraiser put together by friends of Vermont Bicycle Shop in Barre Vermont for the benefit of Darren and Ginger, the owners of Vermont Bicycle Shop. We are starting this campaign for them as they are overwhelmed with disaster paperwork, clean up efforts, and the loss. As many of you know, last week on July 10th, Vermont experienced a historic flooding event that devastated communities across the state. Barre was one community hit particularly hard and our beloved bicycle shop suffered much damage and loss. We are asking folks to consider donating to help in the relief and recovery from the flood damage for Vermont Bicycle Shop. The goal of 50k is to cover some of the lost income as the shop cleans up and recovers. The loss in inventory and structural damage is initially estimated around 200k. We know that times are tough right now and many people and businesses are in need, but every little bit helps.
