My name is Angela Rodrigues and my husband is Cleber Rodrigues, both raised and born in Brazil.

The reason for the fundraising is to help supporting São Leopoldo Flood Relief (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil).

Facing the devastating floods in our hometown of São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul, has been utterly heart-wrenching. While now residing in the United States, the news of the destruction hit us hard, knowing that it's not just distant headlines, but the reality our loved ones, friends, and former neighbors are grappling with.

Cleber and I, the founders of Xtra Care, hail from São Leopoldo, and the bond with our community runs deep. These are the streets where we grew up, where our families still reside, where cherished memories were made. So when disaster struck, it felt personal.

That's why we are compelled to act. Despite the distance, the call to help is resounding. Cleber and I have decided to launch a fundraiser through Xtra Care to provide aid to those affected by the floods. We cannot stand by while our community suffers.

I'll be traveling to Brazil at the end of May to personally deliver the assistance we've gathered. It's not just about providing material support like food, water, and clothing; it's about offering a bit of hope among the despair.
