Flood The Gates

Innah lilahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un ("Surely we belong to Allah and to him we shall return"),
In loving memory of Rizwaan Aboobakar Wadee:
I had the pleasure of spending the last 18 years with the most beautiful soul. He was my best friend, my other half, my brother. Everyone who knows Rizzy knew that he could light up a room with just his smile. He had the biggest heart and was the greatest gift. Rizzy had a way of bringing everyone together. He changed our lives for the better and I hope to carry on his legacy and do good by him. In his memory I want to bring everyone together for a common purpose of giving. In his name I would like to donate a community well as a form of charity.
The arabic meaning of the name Rizwaan is: The Keeper of the Gates of Jannah (Paradise).
*For those of you who don't know why I started this project, on May 3rd, 2019 we lost my younger brother Rizwaan to a tragic incident. My name is Hajira Wadee, originally from Brampton, Ontario, and I'm Rizwaan's older sister and only sibling.*
My goal is to raise $4700 to build a community well. I hope to reach this goal by the end of Ramadan inshAllah. *My intention is to build the first well through https://muslimhands.ca/ probably in Sudan. I will personally be the one to send the money on Rizwaan's behalf. These projects will be started after Ramadan and I will add pictures and updates as the wells are being built.*
"Without water we cannot survive, it is a source of life and a blessing from the Almighty. In the Quran, Allah SWT tells us: "By means of water, we give life to everything." (Surah Al-Anbiya 21:30)."
Building a well is a form of Sadaqah Jariyah. Sadaqah Jariyah means a continuous, flowing, and ongoing charity. It is one of the most rewarding acts we can do in our lives because the benefits of this charity follow us in this lifetime as well as long after we have passed.
I'd like to be able to share this opportunity with all of you, so give as little or as much as you want to share in this common purpose.
With love,
Hajira - Rizwaan "Rizzy" Wadee's sister.
