Flood-Damages for Hernandez-Rocha Family

Hello, Family, Friends, and Community!

I am writing on behalf of my brother, his expecting wife, and my two adorable nephews, who were the victims of a major flood in their city. On January 23, 2024, at 2 AM, they woke up to the sound of a window breaking. A broken city pipe poured hundreds of gallons of water into their home. The city took over 4 hours to respond to the flood, leading to over 3 feet of water flooding their home. The flood damaged their living room, bedroom, bathroom, laundry room, and the play area for my nephews.

We thank God that no one was injured during these devastating moments. But, they now face the challenges of reconstructing a home ( while preparing for the arrival of my baby niece). They have thousands of dollars in repairs and will need to purchase new furniture, appliances, clothes, and to repair all of the damages caused by the flood. Now, more than ever, our collective support is crucial as their family embarks on the challenging journey of rebuilding their home.

¡Hola, familia y amigos!

Les escribo en nombre de mi hermano, su esposa y mis dos adorables sobrinos, quienes fueron víctimas de una gran inundación en su hogar. Se despertaron el 23 de enero 2024, a las 2 de la madrugada, con una ventana rota debido a los cientos de galones de agua que entraban a su casa desde una tubería rota. La ciudad tardó más de 4 horas en responder a la inundación, lo que provocó que más de 3 pies de agua inundaran su casa. La inundación dañó su sala, un dormitorio, su baño, su cuarto de lavado y el área de juegos de mis sobrinos.

Damos gracias a Dios que nadie resultó herido durante estos momentos devastadores. Pero ahora enfrentan los desafíos de reconstruir su casa (mientras se preparan para la llegada de su tercer baby). Tienen miles de dólares en reparaciones y necesitarán comprar muebles, electrodomésticos, ropa y todos los artículos perdidos y dañados por la inundación.

Ahora, más que nunca, nuestro apoyo colectivo es importante mientras ellos embarcan en el desafiante trabaajo de reconstruir su hogar.
