Flooding relief for the town of Johnson, VT
Donation protected
Hello!
We have a home in Johnson, VT that was thankfully spared by the recent heavy rains and historic flooding. A lot of our quaint Vermont town was not so lucky, with parts of town and nearly all of Main Street feet underwater when river levels peaked. This is the second worst flooding Johnson has ever seen in nearly 100 years! As a small town, we don’t have as wealthy of a population compared to many Vermont ski areas, so the need is quite great for flooding relief.
Since we do not live in Johnson full time, it is heartbreaking to see our lovely community go through this without being able to help. We hope to help in the cleanup process on our next trip up there, and figured we might be able to raise funds to help in the relief efforts.
We don’t have a plan on where donations will go at this time, and can confirm that 100% will go to the Town of Johnson or other local community relief programs once needs are identified in the coming days as the cleanup process continues. We will provide updates here as we identify where donations will go and who will be benefiting from your generosity.
Vermont is a special place for many people in New England, and we appreciate any donation you can give, no matter the amount!
Thanks,
Chas and Travis
