Floods & landslides in Malawi - please help!

Cyclone Freddy has killed more than 400 people with thousands injured, displaced and in distress within Blantyre City and the outlying areas that form the district. Nine other southern region rural districts have also been severely affected. Frantic rescue and humanitarian efforts are still ongoing and will take days and weeks with the figures expected to rise over time because of this tragedy - all of this is happening on the backdrop of a cholera outbreak that the country has been grappling with in recent months. Financial help is needed for mobilizing emergency response resources for a team of volunteers on the ground. These resources are being used to support people in crisis as well the displaced populations. The most immediate needs of affected people are shelter, medicine, food, pails, cups, plates, blankets, etc., which are being purchased and delivered in real time. So far, an amount of approximately $28,000 has been raised but the needs are endless. Kindly consider if you would wish to support this worthy cause so we can help the survivors.
