Floor joist square. Invention to In-stores!!!
Donation protected
Hello to all! My name is Andrew and I'm the proud inventor of the TJI (Engineered) floor joist square! I am 38 years of age and have been a carpenter since I was 16. I whole heartedly know the importance of having the right tool, and this here is just that. I've seen a massive increase in the use of engineered floor joists not only in North America but also as far as the UK. Im looking to put a durable, precise and fantastic tool in the hands of my fellow craftsman. Now I'll cut the sales man talk and get right to it...so why a go fund me? Well as soon as I said 'invention' the banks shook their heads, which frankly in 2024 I'm happy to not pay them one more cent in interest either lol. Not just that though, I believe in others- believing in others. In a perfect world every man or woman whom has received a chance at his/her success through this platform would pay it forward as best they can...which on my honour I will do. I mean in concept....this is a dream come true of fellow man and woman.
So where are we? Well I've secured a patent for all of North America. (a lengthy and expensive process). Secondly I have an amazing partner in crime. A highly motivated and experienced prototype developer (Ryan Pagnacco @ Enable innovation product development) whom I might add has already lined up tooling, manufacturing-the works. If that's not exciting enough, being that the scope of work is so straight forward, we have an extremely accurate projection with practically no for seeable hiccups along the way. This is where an initial $105 000 will be spent. At the end of that segment I will have 500 ready for store units in my hands!
Now We'll be thinking packaging and marketing. We've already lined up several economic avenues of doing so including an already very interested, established tool retailer whom has expressed an interest in co-branding. However should we not obtain the results needed to really get these amazing tools out there, I'm prepared to invest into true marketing giants. This is where I anticipate roughly $25 000 in spending. This puts us at $130 000. The remaining $20 000 will be spent constructing a small but efficient storage unit on my property. Being Ive been in the trades 22 years now, I can stretch that quite far. So....there you have it. I hope I haven't bored you with my speech here but my 3 kids have told me it sounds great so that's a pass in my books! I'm not claiming to be special...I just hope that many of you will say YES where the bank has said NO. You have the ability to change lives on this platform and I can only hope you choose to help in changing mine. Thank you for any support you give, even if it's a kind comment. Thank you to all and let's see where we can get!
