2019 ~ Recovery for Puerto Rico
Hurricane Maria hit two years ago and Puerto Rico has been slowly recovering from the devastating damage that took place on the island, but how about the trauma, the mental and emotional damage it did to our fellow Puerto Ricans? This is where Healing Puerto Rico by Flora comes in: with your help, we’re looking to raise funds to provide monetary donations and much needed healing services to Puerto Rican communities that need it the most.
Last year, we worked with the Mayor of Loiza and provided monetary gifts to families in need as well as to a small school in Loiza. We also worked with the president of La Perla community association in old san juan and provided monetary gifts directly to families, elderly and children. In addition to monetary donations, Flora was able to provide healing services and bodyworks to dozens of Puerto Ricans.
About the Organizer:
Dr. Flora Luyando is a Native New Yorker who’s from Puerto Rico. Her passion for her culture and heritage inspired her to start the Flora Healing PR Fundraiser. Now in its third year, Flora is hoping to bring even more healing to the island. She’s collecting donations in exchange for holistic medicine expertise. Please join her by donating what your heart desires. All proceeds will be given directly to the people in the Island of Puerto Rico.
