Help Florentino Contreras after double amputation

Hi, my name is Mike Bates and I am helping to raise money to help Florentino and Hortensia Contreras.

Any longtime Encinitas and Carlsbad residents will remember Hortensia’s Flowers on El Camino Real. They have been in business for over 30 years. They are a bedrock for all local celebrations, high school homecoming and proms, and sold beautiful arrangements for everyone to enjoy. Hortensia and her husband Florentino Contreras have lived here for over 30 years with their two sons.

The family now needs our help. Florentino was injured while working construction and is no longer able to work. He had to undergo a double foot amputation. She is working hard to save money selling flower arrangements from her home in La Costa, however, the cost of the surgery, ongoing doctor bills, her husband’s prosthetics and the need to now purchase a wheelchair accessible vehicle has left the family severely struggling and in need of our help.
