flour + water and Ne Timeas Family
Donation protected
Our goal is to support our 200 person workforce, all of whom have lost their livelihood, through this unprecedented hardship.
The simple priorities are to help our community to maintain their housing and to provide a secure food supply and healthcare for their families immediately.
A little more information about me, as requested by the GoFundMe team:
My name is David White, I am one of the partnership team at Ne Timeas Restaurant Group and flour + water pizzeria. We have been forced to temporarily shut down operations, for an unknown period of time, and we have had to lay off 100% of our workforce. Being in the service industry, our community members do not hold individual wealth, in many cases they do not have access to unemployment insurance. Our main priority in setting up this fund is to protect their food and housing security in whatever way we can. All funds raised through this campaign will pass through a new dedicated bank account with 100% transparency. We are in the process of setting up criteria for how the funds will be distributed and it will likely be administered by a combination of partners in the company and former employees. The simple idea we will build these criteria on is that of need, we realize that it is not a large amount of money in the context of the size of the group, thus its important to us that it has the greatest possible impact. Not one penny of the funds raised will go to a business, or a business owner, this fund is exclusively for our now unemployed workforce. I am happy to field any questions through this website, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Furthermore, as a next step, we are in the process of starting a relationship with a sponsor 501(c)(3) which will allow us to process larger donations with a significant tax benefit to the donor, this will allow for a greater impact as we evolve fundraising strategy.
Sincerely, David White (on behalf of our partnership team).
