Please Help Fund Memorials for the Flowers Family

First, we lost my Father:  Ret TSgt Lonnie C Flowers USAF. A proud 20 year Veteran.   Complications due to service. He was only 64 years old. Miss you so much My Daddy. Love, your baby girl.

Then, we lost my older brother:  Ret MSgt Charles W. Flowers.  Also a very proud 22yr Veteran of the USAF. Complications due to service. He was only 50 years old (deep breath) & leaves behind an amazing wife and three of the best nieces & nephew I could ever know.  Miss you my brother. RiP.

And now ... the baby ...just a few short months after my older brother.  With all due respect -  Curtis J Flowers. He was only 45.  Words cannot even begin to explain this.

We lost them ... lost them all way too soon.

I had checked in on him around 1130pm & he was doing well. Watching more you tube videos on the dangers of processed foods no doubt. About half an hour later, on my way to bed, he was cold & unresponsive. Called 911, performed cpr - ambulances, firetrucks, police officers. The world tilted on its axis unlike ever before!  EMTs believed he had yet another stroke.

Trying to fight back the tears while experiencing a pain I would never wish on anyone. Ever!  It was all too much to bare!  I'm sure my cries could be heard clear across the neighborhood. My heart and soul had been ripped open in that one brief moment.  The toughest part is always learning how to live without them.

Hillcrest Memorial in Haughton, La. had been contacted by the officers.  It was the same place that had taken care of Daddy after his passing. Seemed only natural in that state of mind to mention them.  Apparently they had team members on the road already. They arrived at my house quicker than I could've imagined. I wanted more time with him. Polite, courteous and sympathetic to our loss, the Hillcrest team wrapped him ceremoniously & brought him back home to Bossier City.

He was gone. He was actually gone. It took every ounce of strength God granted in that moment to call my Mother to inform her that we had lost the baby.

After having had experienced it all first hand with my Father & my older brother, I had to once again step up to handle the arrangements despite my own overwhelming brokenness. Curtis didn't have a pre-planned burial package in place to assist with these very moments after his passing.

If you, your parents &/or your siblings are not aware of the cost today - may I highly recommend paying for a service package while you are still alive.

The cost have literally skyrocketed since the passing of my Father. It is beyond outrageous how embalming, a simple service or viewing & cremation can add up so quickly to tens of thousands of dollars.

"Cut here, forgoe this, and I just can't afford that" are all ideas one has to contemplate while being crushed by the loss of a loved one. Yet, we find our hands tied due to financial restrictions & are forced to make those decisions despite the circumstances.

To his friends, co workers @ Barksdale AFB Commissary, Sensata Technologies, Blue Cliff Shreveport & Parkway High classmates, all those who had the privilege & honor of knowing this wonderful young man  & others - know with full intention, that a date shall be set soon after the costs can be covered for a ceremonial honoring of his life. I apologize that I couldnt afford more than a simple and very short viewing.  Understand -   It was my duty to allow our Mother final respects.

Will you help us cover the arrangement costs for my baby brother Curtis?

Your actions and donations made towards these expenses will absolutely make a difference in where we stand at the moment.  If you are able to assist in covering these costs, know that you are appreciated more than My Mother and I could ever express.

From me and mine to you and your's Be Blessed and Thank You all for your help.

Sincerely.
