Fluffy's Prosthetic Leg

Donation protected
Hi , my name is Fluffy , a French Toulouse Goose , I was born on Easter of this year 2023 . My mother doesn’t know if I’m a boy or girl but she loves me unconditionally!!!! I am about 4 months old , my mother brought me home when I was 24 hours old and shared her love and caring compassion she had for me.

When I turned two months old my mother let me out to play with my grown-up friends, my cousin, Sleepy , a 1.5 year old White Chinese Gander, and my two other cousins, a female Welsh Haliquin duck and a Silver Apple yard duck that were the same age as Sleepy.
My mother had been letting me out each and every day to play and rome with my friends until a tragedy happened the evening of the 3rd of June at my home. I was the youngest and smallest of my friends. We wandered down to the pond through a hole at the gate where my friends, the horses, live. We swam and played, then heard my mother come calling us for dinner. My friends all got out of the pond and headed towards my mother's voice !!!! I began to peep and cry uncontrollably….

My foot had been bitten by a very very large snapping turtle…. As I heard my mother's voice I swam as hard and as fast as I could towards her calling my name in Horror!!!! I was being pulled under, barely staying with my head out of the water when my mother rescued me. She jumped in the pond and took hold of me and realized what was happening to me. She pulled me towards her body and the turtle's head and mouth surrounded my foot. She wrestled that snapping turtle until it let go of my foot. I was in so much pain. Half my foot was bitten off. There was so much blood!!! My mother held me so close assuring me I was going to be ok. My mother treated my wounds immediately and called our local animal emergency hospital. I lost half my foot. I still eat and drink well and clean myself every day. My mother has made sure that I am comfortable. I went to the doctor the other day and she said that for me to live a quality life my foot would need to be amputated, and I could be fit for a prosthetic leg !!!!

I am reaching out to all of you kind and generous individuals out there to please help me and my mother out with my procedure and new leg.

With love always , Fluffy
