Mercedes' End of life and medical expenses
Donation protected
Hello everyone!!!
Saturday evening on Sept 28th. Mouse (Mercedes) was coming home from a friends, and she was hit by a car. She was airlifted to Syracuse, not breathing on her own. They ran tests and scans to address what needed attention first. She was rushed to surgery because her head took the blunt of the trauma, she had bleeding on the brain as well as a lot of swelling. That surgery was a successful in stopping a lot of her bleeding, and releasing pressure off the brain, aswell a way to keep the fluid draining too. We are NO WHERE near in the clear, and the Dr is scared for her, but as he said too kids can be super resilient. So we all must focus on how strong of a kid she truly really is. There's going to be a lot of uncertainty for the next minimum 3/4 days to even start. Her blood pressure became a little more stable, so they are running more scans to better recheck everything else. Her first MRI showed over more that 50% of her brain had irreversible damage, as well as finding 2 small fractures to her skull. Even now days later she is still on life support, and we still do not have a clear answer to her how badly this accident will change her life. We have had some small changes in a positive direction, and are waiting to hear the results of her second MRI.
Concluding the results and advice from medical professionals, we have decided on Monday October 14th. We will be taking her off the ventilator, and letting Gods plans take action.
There's a lot of expenses that are piling up from not working now, and being by her side. Daily bills, to medical expenses, and future expenses based on the outcome of her accident.
I will continue to keep everyone updated on her condition, as I know we're all hoping she makes it through this.
