Donation protected
Hi there! We are Emma, Charly and Robyn, three creatives and long terms friends based in London. We are currently fundraising for our Short Film Flying Duo and would be incredibly grateful for any contributions, no matter how small.

(Video is in English and French - skip to 1:34 for French translation)

Flying Duo was written 2 years ago by Emma, but she has recently revisited it as we all believe its themes are still incredibly relevant today, if not more so.

Why We Need Your Support

Creating a short film is no easy feat, but a challenge we are incredibly excited for. We all have previous filmmaking experience and lucky that we have had each other so far in this journey as we have all been willing to put in many hours of free labor to get this film to where it is currently. We now need a little extra help to fund the last few puzzle pieces. Your contribution will help go towards:

  • Additional equipment
  • Location fees
  • Travel and catering expenses
  • Additional crew
  • Props
  • Film Festival Submission

We hope that with this project we will be sharing a hopeful and impactful story as well as creating a gateway to further opportunities.

About Flying Duo

Zoe and Lady are each other's closest friends. They are both outsiders: small fish. But most importantly, they are both dreamers. Lady has moved from France, away from her family and home to live her London dream and Zoe has done the same from Ireland. They are both here together; Two tiny peas in a very big pond.

Sitting in Zoe's beat up, retro gold Beatle Volkswagen the two girls chomp on their fast food. At no point do they look at each other. We don't know why. They don't acknowledge their rather... interesting attire. We don't know why. But what they do do... is talk. About life, London and pigeons. These are two girls that have dreamed of coming to the city, but now they are here they have got lost in the smoke. Zoe and Lady must push through the loneliness they both feel, and perhaps in doing so realized that yes, they are lonely in London. But they are lonely together.

Why This Film? And Why Now?

This story is one incredibly close to our hearts and resonates with all three of us on a personal level, we hope it will do the same for you too. Right now in 2023 we are still dealing with the aftermath of Covid, a time period that was incredibly lonely for many. Although the pandemic may be subsiding, the long term consequences are becoming increasingly apparent. According to research, feelings of loneliness have more than doubled in the UK since the lockdown period. The feeling of isolation has never been so universal. But loneliness is inside. It is a powerful feeling and easy to identify within ourselves, but hard to see in others. That is why we believe it is important to put in our art. Our film encapsulates this and presents it to the viewer in a way that lets them know they are not as alone as they think; We are all in this together.

The film is written by Emma Brunet, Directed by Robyn Faye and produced by Charly Faye. Emma will play the role of Lady, and Charly Zoe.

Every donation brings us one step closer to making this film a reality. We hope to film early next year and we are already facing the pre-production stage head on. Thank you for taking the time to read about our project and we are so, so grateful for your support.

Lots of love,

Emma, Charly and Robyn x
