Flying for Freedom
Donation protected
Flying for Freedom is a not-for-profit organisation that provides recovery support to Wounded Injured and Sick (WIS) Service personnel and veterans through flying, and is entirely run by volunteers most of whom are themselves WIS and backed by some of the world’s best microlight pilots.
Its main objective is to aid wounded, injured and sick (WIS) veterans through:
- Flying microlights
- Training to become microlight pilots and ground crew
- Working together to support ambitious expeditions across the world
- Enhance recovery through shared experience and support.
As an injured veteran, I have been fortunate to be supported by FFF. Due to the pandemic, FFF has come under intense pressure to fund its recovery activities and its ability to support the WIS community.
On Saturday 13 March, I will be cycling 100 miles ( 161 km) on an Air Bike to raise money for this great organisation.
This will be a big challenge for me physically and mentally:
- First fundraiser attempted since sustaining my injury
- Longest distance I've ever attempted
- Will take between 8-9 hours to complete.
The company I work for have created a Covid Relief Fund and will match the total amount of donations, helping to double the amount raised!
Any support will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you :)
Graham & the FFF Team.
