Flying to Edmonton to say our final goodbyes

Hello everyone my name is Ashley and I have set up this go fund me in hope of being able to get me and my husband onto a plane and out to Edmonton to say our final goodbyes to my mother in law. here’s what’s going on, on February the 5th we got a phone call stating that my mother in law had a massive stroke and was taken to Edmonton university hospital we stayed in touch with my sister in law and learned that she had a bleeding ulcer and a minor brain bleed and then upon further testing this week and meeting with the doctors over the phone yesterday we learned that things weren’t as promising as they once where, we got told that in the last mri they did she had multiple more mini strokes and that her brain was weak due to the damage done so if we are to continue treatment we are looking at 24/7 Care and that she would never be the same. We were then given the option of taking her off the supports and saying our final goodbyes. As much as no one wants to do this we also don’t want to go against her wishes and that was to never have to live in the state she will be in, so the decision has been made and the doctors at the hospital are giving us sometime to pull the family together for our final goodbyes, unfortunately for me and my husband who reside back in Ontario that means we have to fly out and unfortunately right now we have no savings no credit cards and no help getting out there right now, so we are asking bye starting this go fund me for the community’s help in getting us out there.

the flight witch I am constantly watching and looking for better priced flights but currently we are looking at $1600 for Airfare for the 2 of us.

and $200 for gas to get to the airport and back unfortunately we live pretty far from Toronto so it’s going to cost a pretty penny for two round trips the 1st one to get us there and someone driving our vehicle back to Kearney and then another trip of someone driving our vehicle back down to get us and take us back home.

we are currently looking to fly out the latest is Monday or Tuesday depending on how things go with this.. and staying until march the 12th that way their is time for the funeral and any other things that may need to be done while we are there.

my sister in law is currently off work due to this situation and has been constantly traveling back and forth and paying for parking at the hospital and unfortunately now with us needing to come out she will also be feeding us so if there is anything extra raised beyond out goal of the air fair and gas to get to where we need to be I will also be putting money into food drinks and gas for her vehicle since she will be driving us all around to the places we need to get to such as the hospital funeral home and so on.

so please if u can help in anyway possible it would be much my appreciated bye me and my husband and the rest of the family.
