Flynn MacKrell Memorial Scholarship

Grosse Pointe South Head coach John Fodell Is planning on swimming a 10-mile swim in the Tennessee River to honor the memory of Flynn Mackrell. Flynn was a cherished 2023 graduate of Grosse Pointe South High School and a valued alumni member of the South Boys Swim and Dive Team. Sadly, we lost Flynn tragically late last year.

The Grosse Pointe South Swim team wants to start a scholarship in Flynn's name. It will serve as a permanent reminder of Flynn's passion, dedication, and indelible mark on our hearts. May this memorial serve as a beacon of remembrance, inspiring to cherish his memory and the profound impact he had on our community. Forever in our thoughts, Flynn will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Fly High Flynn. Your kindness and warmth continue to inspire us all.

All funds will go to a memorial scholarship housed within Grosse Pointe South Athletics for a member of the Grosse Pointe South Boys Swim to be awarded each year at the conclusion of the season.
