Kidney Transplant

Hi my name is Sal Graham, I'm from Glasgow UK and trying to raise money to support the cost of Dialysis and eventually kidney transplant of my brother in law in Pakistan, Aryan who is only 12 years old.

Aryan at 8 years old was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome. Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney disorder where excessive protein is lost in the urine due to damage to the glomeruli, the filtering units in the kidneys. This protein loss leads to fluid retention and swelling (edema), often in the legs, ankles, and face.

This occurs in many children around the world and in most western countries when treated correctly it is out grown and people can live a normal life.

unfortunately for Aryan, this has not been the case and has lost the function in both his kidneys. He was rushed to hospital in April 2025 and put on emergency dialysis. This is when they use machines to filter out all of the bad stuff in the blood that the damaged kidneys can no longer function to do.

I feel a bit embarrassed to even have to create this page but there is only so much me and my wife can do financially to be able to pay for his dialysis and eventually transplant. At the moment the whole family are being tested so praying someone will match asap.

In Pakistan there is no NHS and all treatment we need to pay by ourselves, no hospital there would even give him that critical dialysis in April until they had received the money to do it!

He needs 3 rounds of dialysis to keep him alive per week, which is costing around £150 per week and the transplant itself is going to cost in the region of £7000!

it may take around 6 months before a transplant can be done, to allow for tests and time to find a suitable donor and the total cost for 6 months of dialysis and transplant will be around £12,000, so we are trying to raise atleast half of that.
