Marcel’s journey

Hi everyone. I’m the momma behind the most precious boy in the world, Marcel Milo. He has spent well over half of the first year of his life in Children’s hospital, or at home healing. He has a GI disease called Hirschsprung’s. He underwent a surgery in January that was supposed to correct the problem and finally let us live a more “normal” life. That is very far from what happened. He has suffered through multiple surgery complications that have led us back and forth to Children’s even more since the surgery. I have always felt like momma has it under control… but at this point I need a village :( He has enterocolitis currently, which includes fever and inflamed intestines and causes him to be in pain. Trying to maintain our bills when I simply cannot take him to daycare and work regularly, has become impossible. I do not have family/friends that can consistently help in caring for him while he’s sick- but honestly, I understand that’s a big ask and I need to be the one beside him through this. His surgeons predict 3-5 months until his digestive tract is healthy and we can expect some relief from constant illness, and hopefully enter into a more functional chapter. Until then, ANYTHING helps, and this goal is set just to make sure Marcel is provided for in every way. Our bills at home, medical expenses, travel costs. It’s just burying me. This goal also includes his need for the best therapists and a healthy environment for him so he can thrive after recovery. I’d love to be able to move away from our hometown and enroll him in a daycare with more flexible hours, so I can provide for him better. Thank you for taking the time to read.
