Support Polly Rapone's Battle with Breast Cancer

Hi everyone, for those of you who don’t know me, I’m Chloe Rapone.
On February 28th my mom, Polly Rapone, was diagnosed with breast cancer.
If you know my mom, you love her. She is the heart of our family, the mother to five kids, our number one fan, and the best person I know. You may know her from
our childhood, watching her juggle all five of us from sports practices to dance classes, to volunteering in our classrooms and field trips. Or maybe you know her more recently, working at Imagination Station, or now Jackson Primary, passing on her love and knowledge to kids in her classes. Or maybe you’ve just had one of her cookies, and that should be enough alone to know she’s the best. She is a combination of all the love, light and kindness the world has to offer.
The diagnosis came as a complete shock after a routine mammogram. First needing an additional reading, to a biopsy, and an MRI. The official diagnosis is lobular carcinoma. According to her wonderful team of specialists and surgeons at U of R she is experiencing a grade one (slow growing) cancer, that is most likely stage one. Our next steps include surgery. On May 14th my mom will undergo a complete mastectomy. This will result in her being out of work for 6-8 weeks, before later needing to undergo an additional surgery 6-8 months later and hence another recovery period.
We are all doing our best to remain in positive uplifting spirits, but still need our community’s help. So how can you show your support?
1. Donate if you can. No amount of money is too little. We all know times are hard and if you can spare it, we appreciate it more than you could ever know.
2. Buy cookies from my mom’s small business. She is taking cookie orders until she has surgery. And while she’s recovering I will be baking as well! Follow us on Facebook to see our “Cookies for Cancer” promotion coming soon. @Cute Enough To Eat
3. Pray. Send us uplifting messages. Drop lunch off while she recovers. Send her a card, give her a hug. Let her know we have her back. Anything to make her feel good.
4. Share this link, mention it to your friend and family. Any and all support is so appreciated and recognized.
Thank you all for taking the time to read and I promise I will update you all along the way.
Sincerely, Chloe Rapone.
