Mikes Road to Recovery

On Thursday November 28th Thanksgiving night my Dad complained of a severe stomach ache barely able to even walk my mom took him to the ER at Bergan Mercy. He was admitted for ileus and was taken down for a CT Scan which showed nothing. They took him down for a X-ray the next morning on his birthday in hopes to find out more and with unforseen circumstances he was unable to walk when he arrived back to his room. After finding out hours later that he couldn’t walk they rushed him into an MRI. At this point they have found that my dad  had a blood clot starting at T4 of his spine to T12. After a lengthy surgery that evening he’s been left paralyzed from the waist down. He has regained small movements in his feet but Doctors are pretty confident he will never be able to walk again. With having to move, rehabilitation, wheelchair accessible car, all of medical expenses and to help alleviate some stress on not only my Dad but my Mom also. 

I’m never the person to ask for help but I know my Mom and Dad will need this tremendously! Anything helps and all is appreciated. ♥️
