Operation for my daughter

Hi..my name is dane..we are trying to raise enough money for a private operation for my eldest child.

When Seren was 17 she was admitted in hospital with a pain in her leg. Within a couple of days she was paralysed from the neck down.

She had to try and learn to walk again after a few months.

Since then it's been 1 thing after another with seizures,strokes and even died in hospital before being resuscitated.

She has been diagnosed with functioning neurological disorder which basically means anything that functions in her body could stop at any time..

From the 1st time she went to hospital her bladder has stopped working and has never worked since.

She's probably spent over a year or more being admitted with sepsis. Bladder infections...cellulitis along with lots of other conditions.

Wales NHS have refused to operate to remove her bladder due to her age and the mortality rate.

We've found a surgeon in Liverpool who agrees with us that this operation is essential for her quality of life and has put her on his NHS list. This could be up to 5 year wait.

We've asked for a private operation price and how quick this can be done..

At a cost of £12,300 we could get the operation done as early as February next year.

As a dad..I always have the answers..I'm stuck..feel totally useless and a terrible father.

We've tried and tried to raise the £12,300 but we are struggling.

With loans,grants,savings and family we could possibly get around 9k..which leaves us short.

We weren't going to do any type of funraising and really tried our hardest but we just can't do it on our own.

Several people have asked us how they could help or if they could set up a fundraiser so if anyone fancies helping us out to pay for this essential operation then we as a family would be so grateful.

My daughter doesn't deserve any of this. Watching all her friends going to uni starting their lives is heartbreaking for her as she's bed bound and can only manage a few steps with her walker.

This operation should stop most hospital admissions and give my daughter a much better quality of life.
