FolkRockDiva's Recovery Fund

Hey folks. Lilli here.
This has been a whirlwind of a year that started with me performing with some of my lifetime's biggest musical heroes, The Indigo Girls (see above). That photo is the first night I got to sing "Closer To Fine" in their closing number, after opening for them to a sold out crowd in Kalamazoo, MI.
This moment was an incredible highlight of my life, but it was also bittersweet because the truth is, I've been combating a series of escalating health complications that have rendered me nearly immobile. It has become extreme enough that it is no longer safe for me to continue touring, and I will soon be taking an indeterminate amount of time off to focus on recovery.
One of the things I've learned in my year of research about what to do, is that in order to have the level of care I need in this rehabilitation effort, I would first have to have an "instigating incident" (e.g. heart attack, stroke, etc.) in order to be referred for rehab or have my insurance cover any of it. The truth is, I'm afraid in my current state, I may not even be strong enough to survive such an incident.
I want to avoid all of that by taking my recovery into my own hands.
I've also learned from consulting with PT professionals, along with those who have themselves recovered from systemic health crises, that prolonged aquatic therapy would be the safest, most effective tool to help me rebuild core health and mobility.
This fundraiser is to help me get a small, portable therapy pool for my home so that I can 1) begin to repair COVID era lung damage, 2) strengthen my cardiovascular system and 3) regain overall core strength and mobility.
The pool represents a $6000 expense. The rest of the fund is to offset lost income.
The fact is, I've put everything I have into being on the road over the last 2 years, and as incredible as it has been, it has cost me just about everything. I can't cross this next bridge without the support of the folks who believe in my music and my message.
Thank you for your support.
