Food & Shelter for Homeless & Disable Children in The Gambia

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Cyrus Jefferson, known as KingJay on TikTok or cj_thefalcon. Recently, during my vacation in The Gambia, I encountered a homeless boy named Muhammed, who has Down syndrome. He was sleeping on the pavement, and despite my attempts to communicate, I couldn't understand him. I decided to bring him to my hotel, where I cleaned him up and provided him with food and fresh clothes.

This experience made me acutely aware of the many children like Muhammed who are living on the streets without care or support. It’s heartbreaking to see so many homeless children and those with disabilities overlooked. We must prioritize our humanity and care for one another.

I am fundraising to help Muhammed and other homeless children with disabilities in The Gambia, where many lack basic necessities like food, water, and shelter. Muhammed has been living on the streets for years, begging for food and water, and he comes from a family that cannot afford to care for him—his mother is blind, and his father has health issues.

My objective is to provide these children with daily food, water, and a safe place to sleep. I also hope to help them access education so they can improve their lives. The Gambia faces severe poverty, with approximately 90% of the population living in hardship.
