Hello everyone, our names are Grace and Rhonda. We have family working tirelessly in the medical field, one of whom works as a nurse at LAC+USC Medical Center in East Los Angeles. LAC+USC is the busiest Level One Trauma Center on the West Coast, with the Emergency Department receiving over 350 patients a day. With growing demand and supply shortages, the medical personnel in the hospital are stretched to their limits, and the one thing we know we can do is provide them with food to get them through their long day. With these funds, we can provide the LAC+USC Emergency Department staff – including doctors, nurses, and EMT– with meals, Gatorade, protein bars, coffee, and other items that they can grab during their shift amidst fighting this COVID-19 pandemic.
