Food, formula, diapers, needed....

Hi, my name is Yvonne and I am raising funds to assist women and children of Marie Rose Place apartments to get a little extra help with their monthly basic needs. I work at Marie Rosie Place. Marie Rose Place provides safe, supported, affordable housing for single newcomer women with children. It is a privately owned 40 suite apartment block. It does not have non-profit or charitable status. It is a great place. Many of the women are on income assistance and receive a mere $416 a month for all their basic needs - mother and child. When they first have a baby they wait weeks and weeks to receive their Canada Child benefit, right at the time when they have significant new expenses. With the increased costs of groceries, formula, transportation, etc. it is incredibly difficult for them to meet their basic needs. We have about 80 people (women and children) living in the building, this includes three newborns, and many children. Are you able to help out a little -- anything helps. I have been running errands when needed and getting things with my own funds, but it feels like a drop in the bucket. I set a goal of $2,000 for this, however this is an ongoing goal as the needs continue monthly. Will you contribute? Thanks very much!
